NYSE.COM – On Fri., March 27, the women at the forefront of World Wrestling Entertainment® (WWE) – CEO Linda McMahon; COO Donna Goldsmith; EVP, Creative Development & Operations Stephanie McMahon Levesque; and EVP, Marketing Michelle Wilson will visit the New York Stock Exchange and ring The Opening BellSM to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania and WWE’s fourth theatrical release “12 Rounds” starring WWE Superstar John Cena®. 

The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania will take place on Sunday, April 5 at Houston’s Reliant Stadium.  More than 70,000 fans from 24 countries, including all 50 states and 7 Canadian provinces are expected to attend the event and millions in more than 100 countries will watch the event.  The Army National Guard will be the presenting sponsor of the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania and WrestleMania Axxess. The week leading up to WrestleMania will be filled with community and fan events through sponsorships and partnerships including Clear Channel, Comcast, Kmart, Best Buy, the Houston Chronicle and the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, just to name a few.

Also occurring on Friday, March 27, is the release of WWE’s fourth theatrical film “12 Rounds”, featuring WWE Superstar John Cena.  In the film, John Cena portrays a New Orleans Police Detective who must solve a series of near-impossible puzzles and tasks to save the life of his fiancée.

Hoping to deliver some payback to WWE Champion Triple H after he decimated Cody Rhodes the week before, Randy Orton faced his WrestleMania opponent in a 2-on-1 Handicap Match, with Ted DiBiase at his side. Triple H had barely entered the ring when the three men launched themselves at each other. Looking for an equalizer, The Game went under the ring apron to retrieve his signature sledgehammer, but was confronted by Rhodes, who had been lying in wait. The Legend Killer and his fellow multi-generational Superstars then attacked the WWE Champion, handcuffing him to the ropes.

With The Game restrained, Orton said that there was only one person who could save Triple H and that she better come out. Against the warnings of the WWE Champion, a terrified Stephanie McMahon made her way down the entrance ramp. After climbing onto the ring apron, the Executive Vice President had second thoughts and tried to get away, but her path was blocked by Rhodes & DiBiase. Orton then grabbed her, delivering a vicious DDT from the second rope. Playing further mind games with The Cerebral Assassin, The Legend Killer leaned down and kissed the unconscious Stephanie, taunting Triple H before clobbering him with a sledgehammer.

In celebration of SmackDown’s historic 500th episode, Stephanie McMahon is listed on SmackDown’s Greatest Moments at WWE.com. Here are some listed below.

March 30, 2000 - Stephanie McMahon, daughter of WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon, became the new Women’s Champion.

October 31, 2002 - In a special Halloween episode of SmackDown, John Cena performed the first of many memorable raps for the WWE Universe while General Manager rivals Stephanie McMahon and Eric Bischoff surprised each other and the WWE Universe by engaging in a passionate kiss.

October 19, 2003 – A No Mercy victory by Mr. McMahon over his daughter Stephanie McMahon in an “I Quit” Match forced Stephanie to relinquish her position as SmackDown General Manager.

As a promo was first airing on the edition of this week’s ECW, it showed a build-up feud to WrestleMania 25 between Triple H and Randy Orton. In case you didn’t know, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H’s real-life wedding is featured in this footage. The video is now available for download!

Speaking of story lines, you recently revealed wrestling’s worst kept secret and wove it perfectly into a story line leading to your match with Randy Orton at WrestleMania: You are, in real life, married to Stephanie McMahon. Were you apprehensive about the decision to reveal this?

For story lines and business, we try to keep that stuff separate. But people knew and we joked about it when I was in DX [comic wrestling tag team formed with fellow superstar Shawn Michaels]. The only reason I was apprehensive is where do we go on the flip side of it. Look at it like this: There is the real world and the WWE Universe. So the cat is now out of the bag in the WWE Universe and it now exists there. So anything that has to do with me story-line-wise, you have to be conscious of the fact that I am married into the McMahon family. That throws a different curve into it. So my only concern was it tainting future story lines. Say something happens, and it’s like, “Well, why doesn’t he get that change through his father-in-law?” [Laughs.] We have created a wrinkle in the fabric of the WWE Universe.

In the parking lot, Todd Grisham ran into Triple H and asked how he got Interim Raw General Manager, Vickie Guerrero to cooperate with him. Triple H hopped into his car along with his wife, Stephanie McMahon. They stormed off without a word. The mystery is obviously that Stephanie McMahon was behind lowering cage.

Thanks to Barbara for sending these photos from Raw on February 16, 2009. That was when Stephanie McMahon received an RKO by Randy Orton. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon were leaving the ring after Raw went off the air. Click here to view the large photos in the gallery!
