With The Game restrained, Orton said that there was only one person who could save Triple H and that she better come out. Against the warnings of the WWE Champion, a terrified Stephanie McMahon made her way down the entrance ramp. After climbing onto the ring apron, the Executive Vice President had second thoughts and tried to get away, but her path was blocked by Rhodes & DiBiase. Orton then grabbed her, delivering a vicious DDT from the second rope. Playing further mind games with The Cerebral Assassin, The Legend Killer leaned down and kissed the unconscious Stephanie, taunting Triple H before clobbering him with a sledgehammer.

At the close of the show, Stephanie McMahon entered the ring, expressing her desire to speak to Randy Orton face-to-face. Accompanied by his therapist, two lawyers, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, the 2009 Royal Rumble Winner made his entrance, reiterating the consequences waiting for Stephanie if she was to fire him: Two costly lawsuits being filed against WWE as well as DiBiase and Rhodes walking. The Legend Killer went even further, threatening to file an injunction to stop WrestleMania, the event at which he is guaranteed a World Title Match. Click here to read the full story!

Last Night’s Raw Off-Air Note
Posted by Eddie on August 25th, 2009. Filed in General News -- Add Comment? [1]

Just got back from Raw at the Thomas and Mack Center. After Raw went off the air, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Vince McMahon, and John Cena did the crotch chop to the crowd. Cena left. Vince got on the mic and told us thanks for celebrating his birthday with him. He said we sang Happy Birthday the worst he’s ever heard. Vince tried to leave and Shawn and Hunter stopped him.

Triple H told Vince he wasn’t happy with how we sang to him, so give us one more shot. He said a couple of people want to join in and sing. Shane and Stephanie came out. HHH said wait we have one more. Linda came out with Pat Patterson. A random Patterson chant started.

Pat got the mike and said he’ll sing a few bars since Vince has always done things his way. He then sang “My way” with Shane, Stephanie, and HHH doing backup. We all sang “Happy Birthday” and Vince ate it up, then he ran out of the arena. HHH, Shawn, and Shane shook hands to send everyone home.

In a Business Week interview that likens WWE’s new celebrity guest hosting gimmick to Saturday Night Live, Stephanie McMahon teases other celebrities WWE is hoping to get into the ring.  According to McMahon, potential guests include Freddie Prinze, Jr (the actor and former WWE Creative Team member who would plug the eighth season of “24,” which starts in January), Bob Barker (the famed former “Price is Right” host) and the Reverend Al Sharpton.

Stephanie touted the show’s multiple promotional platforms–more than 5 million viewers each week for RAW, a website that does millions of impressions and the likelihood of garnering mainstream media attention as host–as beneficial for celebrities who wish to guest host RAW as a means of hyping their products.

Dawn Marie Speaks on Stephanie McMahon
Posted by Eddie on August 3rd, 2009. Filed in General News,Interview -- Add Comment? [1]

A former diva, Dawn Marie talks about working with Stephanie McMahon during her time in World Wrestling Entertainment. Here is the following below:

You and Torrie had the on-screen kiss during the angle, was that awkward at all?

[Laughs] Yeah, I’ve never kissed a girl in my whole life. So it was my first, and it was really strange. Especially since it’s this person that I got to look at now for the next 275 days of the year. And, not only that, having a locker room full of horny men that just watched it. Stephanie was the one who directed the whole thing, I think that was the only reason why I was comfortable with it. She was a lot of help to me, and I give a lot of credit to Stephanie for how I grew as a heel and as a talent.

Did you and Stephanie maintain that relationship throughout your entire time in WWE?

Absolutely! I mean, I wouldn’t just pick up the phone and call Steph, we weren’t friends. But she was my go-to person. If I had a problem, she was the only person I felt like I could go to. I have to give her credit – and I’m not blowing smoke, I’m not looking for a job out there – but I have to give Vince credit because if I ever needed to speak to them about any issue, they would give me a good five-ten minutes to speak with them. And if it couldn’t get resolved then, they would setup an appointment to settle it. I have to given them respect for that, because how many owners, CEOs, can you do that with? I would say the same with Stephanie, I mean I got more than five to ten minutes with her because she’s not as busy as he is, but she was very attainable when it came to issues or creative issues.
